How to Make a Coupon File

Organizing your coupons is very important. It would be horrible to find a great deal and not be able to easily find the coupon to take advantage of the deal. Looking around at other sites and blogs there are many ways to organize your coupons. There are even coupon organizers for sale. the main ways I have come across is in a coupon box, a binder, and a hanging file. I perfer a hanging file for most of my coupons. Here I will tell you how to make one for yourself.
~~~
1. First you would want to purchase a hanging file box. They are about $10. Using a portable one allows you to be mobile. When I get together with my friends to find deals it is easy to take along.
2. Inside the box you want to have a hanging file for each week and a folder labeled for each insert with the name and date on the tab. I file all uncut printables in the last hanging file.
3. Each week I purchase several (at least 6 Houston Chronicle newspapers). I take out the inserts and bring the newspapers to my local fire department and donate them. Do not cut the coupons out.
4. After picking up the Sunday paper, and removing the inserts, take a file folder and label it with the insert name and date. Repeat this for each insert (ie: Proctor & Gamble, Smart Source, and Red Plum.)
5. Finally, you just add the file in a hanging folder behind the previous weeks inserts. When you find deals and are looking for a particular coupon that labled ss 5/31, you will be able to easily find the file for 5/31 labeled ss. Its that easy! If you have any questions let me know.
Here is a great file box folders, and hanging folders to get you started.
